Remember the tattoo artist did his job in applying the tattoo and after that its your turn to make sure it heals well so that it looks good for years to come.

About two hours after getting your tattoo remove any dressing the tattoo artist may have applied.

Wash with warm soapy water and rinse well then blot dry, do not rub dry!

Do not cover again and apply a thin coating of lotion (such as lubriderm, curel, tattoo goo, etc.) every few hours for 5 to 7 days.

Do not swim or soak in water for at least two weeks.

Do not let tattoo get sunburn while healing.

When your tattoo starts peeling, do not pull the skin off, let it fall off naturally.

If redness or swelling occur see a doctor.
